Objectives
The objectives of this client area is to advise you of what we at Constructing Excellence in the South West Bristol Club considers to be best value in the procurement of a project. There is considerable experience available within the club (details contained within the contact us and biographies sections) should you wish to examine or discuss any of the issues associated with getting your project off to a good start.

Feedback from clients is welcome and encouraged.
The brief
There is considerable evidence to suggest that most construction projects fail in some way. Many of these failures can be attributed to inadequate development of a robust project brief. Before you embark upon your project you may wish to consider the following points before proceeding any further.

1 Are you able to produce a statement of purpose, which sets out your economic and strategic objectives that are to be met by the new project?

2 Are you able to provide sufficient information to enable the supply chain to form a view on the scale and complexity of the project?

3 Are you able to provide data on the minimum acceptable performance standards for the building or facility in full use?

4 Are you able to identify the numbers of people who will use the facility / building, the activities that they will undertake and the patterns of usage throughout the day and throughout the year?

5 Are you able to provide the price baseline, expressed as capital or through life cost?
